Refund Policy

1. Overview

This Refund Policy applies to payments made through the Playgrade platform ("the Platform") for tournament entry fees, membership fees, and other charges. Payments are processed through Razorpay.

2. Tournament Entry Fees

2.1 Before Registration Deadline
If you cancel your tournament registration before the organiser's stated registration deadline, you are eligible for a full refund minus any payment processing fees charged by Razorpay.
2.2 After Registration Deadline
Refunds after the registration deadline are at the sole discretion of the tournament organiser. Playgrade does not guarantee refunds after the deadline has passed.
2.3 Tournament Cancellation
If a tournament is cancelled by the organiser, all registered players are eligible for a full refund. The organiser is responsible for initiating refunds.

3. Membership Fees

Club membership fees are set and managed by individual clubs. Refund eligibility for memberships is determined by the respective club's policies. Contact the club administrator for membership refund requests.

4. Platform Service Fees

Platform service fees or convenience charges levied by Playgrade are non-refundable unless the cancellation is due to a technical error on our part.

5. How to Request a Refund

  • Contact the tournament organiser or club administrator directly through the Platform.
  • If the organiser is unresponsive, email us at hello@playgrade.app with your transaction details.
  • Include your registered name, email, tournament/club name, and payment reference number.
  • Refund requests must be submitted within 30 days of the original payment.

6. Refund Processing

  • Approved refunds are processed through Razorpay to the original payment method.
  • Refunds typically take 5–7 business days to reflect in your account, depending on your bank.
  • You will receive an email confirmation when a refund is initiated.

7. Exceptions

Refunds will not be granted in the following cases:

  • No-shows: if you fail to attend a tournament without prior cancellation.
  • Disqualification: if you are disqualified from a tournament for rule violations or misconduct.
  • Fraudulent activity: if there is evidence of payment fraud or manipulation.

8. Disputes

If you believe a refund has been unfairly denied, you may contact us at hello@playgrade.app. We will review the case and mediate between you and the organiser. Playgrade's decision in such disputes shall be final.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
