1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Playgrade ("the Platform"), operated by Playgrade ("we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Platform.

2. Description of Service

Playgrade is a sports management platform that enables clubs, communities, apartments, schools, and individual players to organise tournaments, track player ratings (PGR — Playgrade Rating), manage ladders, handle memberships, and collect payments for racket sports including badminton, tennis, squash, table tennis, and pickleball.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you must have consent from a parent or legal guardian. Accounts created by minors without proper consent may be suspended.

4. User Accounts

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

5. Club and Tournament Organisers

If you create or manage a club, ladder, or tournament on Playgrade:

• You are responsible for the accuracy of tournament information, rules, and schedules.
• You must ensure that any fees collected through the Platform are used for their stated purpose.
• You agree to resolve disputes with participants in good faith.
• You must comply with all applicable local laws and regulations governing sports events.

6. Player Conduct

As a player using the Platform, you agree to:

• Provide accurate self-ratings and player information.
• Not manipulate or attempt to manipulate the PGR rating system.
• Behave respectfully towards other players, organisers, and club administrators.
• Accept match results as recorded by organisers or confirmed by both players.
• Not create multiple accounts to circumvent bans, rating resets, or other restrictions.

7. Payments and Fees

• Payments on Playgrade are processed through Razorpay. By making a payment, you also agree to Razorpay's terms of service.
• Tournament entry fees, membership fees, and other charges are set by the respective club or organiser — not by Playgrade.
• Playgrade may charge a platform fee or service charge, which will be clearly disclosed before payment.
• All payments are in Indian Rupees (INR) unless stated otherwise.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the Platform — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, the PGR rating algorithm, and software — are owned by Playgrade and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.

9. User-Generated Content

By posting content on the Platform (such as club descriptions, tournament details, or profile information), you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, display, and distribute that content in connection with operating the Platform. You retain ownership of your content but are responsible for ensuring it does not violate any laws or third-party rights.

10. Ratings and Rankings

• Player ratings (PGR) are calculated using the Glicko-2 algorithm and are provided for informational and competitive purposes.
• Ratings are not guarantees of skill level and may fluctuate based on match results and activity.
• We reserve the right to adjust ratings in cases of confirmed manipulation or data errors.
• Rating history and match records are maintained as part of the Platform's services.

11. Privacy

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review it to understand how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

12. Disclaimers

• The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
• We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access to the Platform.
• We are not responsible for injuries, disputes, or losses arising from participation in tournaments or sports activities organised through the Platform.
• We are not liable for the actions or omissions of club organisers, tournament directors, or other users.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Playgrade shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these terms or is harmful to other users or the Platform. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a notice on the Platform. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.

16. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
